Riedel's IPx interfaces, act as a SIP client for their intercom SmartPanels. They support the Opus audio codec, and can be used with the sip.audio service.
CONFIGURATION:
- On your computer, load the Riedel device configuration software.
- From the menu, click Configuration, choose the device, and click Configuration in the submenu.
- In the new window that appears, select Operation Settings and SIP Server from the left-hand menu, and configure as follows...
- Label: sip.audio
SIP Server: proxy.sip.audio
Backup SIP Server: proxy2.sip.audio
(you can also assign a LAN interface for each server)
STUN: Check this box if your NAT setup requires the use of STUN.
Transport: UDP
Registration Timeout: 60 s
International Prefix: +
Click OK - Select Line Interface from the left-hand menu, and configure as follows...
- Line Mode: IP
- For each line (Line1, Line 2 etc)...
Line Mode: SIP
SIP Server: sip.audio
User Name: Your sip.audio Username (e.g. gallery.riedel1 for gallery.riedel1@sip.audio)
User Authentication: (as above e.g. gallery.riedel1)
Password: (the password for your Username)
DTMF Tx: RFC 2833
Local Port: 5061 (5062 for line 2, etc)
Coding: Opus
Click OK - Repeat these steps for each line / sip.audio Username
MAKING A CALL
Dial other sip.audio Usernames using just the first part of the SIP address e.g. john.smith for john.smith@sip.audio
Entering full SIP addresses will bypass the sip.audio proxy. To work around this limitation, Zoom and Chime SIP endpoints can be called via a Shortcut.
