RØDE have integrated the CallMe SIP client into the device's latest firmware. While this means that you no longer need to buy an add-on device from us to use with your Rodecaster Pro II or Duo, it's worth noting that the annual CallMe subscription is more than the purchase cost of a USB SIP Codec 'Touch'.  If your project can justify the significant ongoing cost for the convenience of one integrated device with three concurrent call channels, then read on. Otherwise, you might find it more cost-effective to run ipDTL / hybrIP on a USB connected computer, or connect one of our low cost codecs via USB.

You'll require a sip.audio subscription to use with the Rodecaster CallMe client. You can also add phone calling and your own phone number, if required.

Once you have the latest firmware (at least 1.6.4), you'll need to register your RØDECaster mixer on the Rode website, for which you'll need to create an account. Once you have registered the device, navigate to this page on their site, subscribe to the CallMe Pro service, and then restart your device.

Now you can assign the CallMe channel(s) to fader(s) on the mixer. Press the button above the assigned fader, to access the settings, and then press 'CallMe Configuration'.

Press 'Advanced', and then press the > icon to navigate to the fourth config page, where you can enter your sip.audio credentials as below...

TIP: To find the dot (.) key on the virtual keyboard, press 123, then #@=

SIP Account Username: SIP Username (For example, enter fmstation.rodecaster for fmstation.rodecaster@sip.audio)
SIP Auth Username: (same as above)
SIP Account Password: Your SIP Username's Password.
Register to SIP: Enabled

MAKING A CALL FROM THE RODECASTER

1. Tap the colored button above a CallMe assigned fader.
2. Press 'Join a Call', and then 'Call SIP Address'.
3. Enter the SIP address or phone number that you'd like to call (see above tip about finding the dot (.) key!)
4. Press the 'Call' button.

MAKING A CALL TO THE RODECASTER

Simply call the SIP address that you have configured to the device e.g. username@sip.audio

The call will auto-answer.
